To be honest, I've arrived back a couple days ago. ^.^

The Philippines was beautiful and the people were so nice! It was great to see my relatives again, even tho some of my uncles were sad that I didn't recognise them in an instant. Hell, there was this one uncle I don't remember at all. Some of my little cousins were awkward around me, which is understandable considering the fact that they were tiny babies when my family moved to Switzerland, but they were sweet none the less. The littlest cousins were spoiled rotten by us because they were adorable. One of them confessed to not liking me at the very beginning because I apparently looked like a snob with my dress, favourite sun hat and huge sunglasses lol.

Driving in the Philippines is terrifying. One of my uncles is a jeepney driver and my mom borrowed a mini van from the neighbours for him to drive us around. Because you know, we can't live in the heat anymore. My lil sisters, step dad and I would have died of a heat stroke. Or we would have murdered one another with vicious words because it was too hot and ruined the holiday for everyone. But back to the driving. For someone who grew up in Switzerland with their strict road rules, I was terrified for my life. I've been to Italy and thought that their driving was crazy, but in the Philippines? I feared for my life. And also I was very impressed with my uncles driving skills.

There were so many malls too, it was crazy. But most of the time, instead of shopping at malls, we went to the street market. They have lots of cool stuff too! And watching my mom bargain is seriously hilarious. Also I had a century pear, and let me tell you, it is the most delicious fruit I have ever had in my life. A++ would kill someone to eat again.

After visiting my relatives, we went to Boracay. The beaches there are jaw dropping. Pure white sand, water so clear you can see the fishes swimming between your toes and lots of activities to do. It was great. We rode a banana boat, went helmet diving and parasailing. I almost died when we went helmet diving because when we were done, we were supposed to get off the boat station on a smaller boat that will head back to the island. And well, while I was trying to get on the smaller boat, I slipped and the butt of the smaller boat almost hit my head. Good thing the guides were close by and pushed the boat away. I was pretty calm about the whole affair and was even laughing it off afterwards. Good thing I didn't lose my life there, the only thing I lost were my flip flops.

What continued to amuse me through out my stay in Boracay were the Korean and Chinese tourists. They were walking around with jackets and umbrellas and taking pictures of everything and everyone, even me and my family when we were eating dinner at the beach. I know it's asian culture to want to stay pale, but I was seriously worried that one of them would faint from the heat because they were wearing jackets at the beach.

Overall it was an awesome vacation! One thing I do have a complaint about were the public toilets because you have to pay for the toilet paper on some of them.
